G.I.F.T. Kansas City

After she started Dash Delivery July, Damesha got busy – fast. She knew she was going to need another (bigger) transit van soon and wasn’t sure how to go about getting one. So, she had learned about G.I.F.T KC, a local non-profit organization that was trying to help black-owned businesses get started … so she applied for a grant. She never expected anything to come of it so when she got the personal visit from Cornell (G.I.F.T. KC), she was overwhelmingly grateful.

The G.I.F.T. KC grant consisted of $25,000 cash (which funded another van, tagged both vans and paid for basic car insurance for one year), PLUS G.I.F.T. also provides website, consulting (business and legal) for one year.

My new business was blessed with this grant from G.I.F.T. of Kansas City and now I just want to keep growing so I can give back to the community that is supporting me. ~Damesha Cook, Owner, Dash Delivery
